The impact of the Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, is now reaching beyond its well-publicised public health challenges. China is at the centre of Australian and global manufacturing. In many regions across China, the government has urged hundreds of millions of workers to stay at home, helping to reduce the spread of the virus. As a result, many factories have remained closed since late January 2020, halting the production of products and parts destined for countries around the world, including Australia.

Has the Coronavirus impacted Emerald Planet?

A number of our factories have taken precautionary action and encouraged their workforce to stay at home. This has slowed and paused some elements of production. Furthermore, logistics and freight forwarding services are impacted as they manage transport disruptions and a predicted influx of export goods once industry recovers across China. As a result, we predict a number of our orders/shipments from China will be delayed.    

Has this affected Emerald Planet stock availability?

We are experiencing unprecedented demand across our product ranges. As a result, our stock levels have been impacted.  

Does Emerald Planet have products in stock?

Yes, we have products in stock. However, a number of our high demand products are not readily available, with product either in production or en route from China. Will my order arrive on time?

We will endeavour to quickly pick and dispatch all orders. However, given the current peak demand, some deliveries may be slightly delayed.

The current level of disruption is manageable. We have alternative products in stock, and we are working hard to prioritise new orders from China based on customer demand. Furthermore, a number of our factories in China have reopened and we are optimistic that normal operating services will resume in the coming weeks.
