It’s good news – Australia is on-track to meet the 2020 Large-Scale Renewable Energy Target goal of 33k gigawatt-hours of renewable energy.

The Clean Energy Regulator confirmed their confidence in meeting the 2020 target after the approval of four large wind and solar power stations was announced on 30 August 2019. Collectively, the four new energy sources will contribute 406 megawatts; enough renewable energy to meet the 2020 large-scale renewable energy target.

While the renewable energy capacity target has been achieved for 2020, the Clean Energy Regulator has confirmed that investment in Australia’s renewable energy market will continue.
